I heard a quote the other day from the late Michael Landon. When I heard it I couldn’t believe the emotion that it stirred up inside me. Who is driving your bus?
I’m not sure where I heard this saying before, but it kind of stuck with me. So I hope I am not infringing an any copyrights here but I’m going to use it anyway. Who is driving your bus? Are you in control of your situation? Are you in control of your emotions?
When a tough situation arises, we have a choice to make. We can let it bother us, or get us down, or piss us off. Or we can to take a deep breath and let it slide. If you let someone else control your emotions and how you feel, you are letting someone else drive your bus. Once something happens, it’s done. There is nothing you can do about it. The key is to not let it ruin your day. What good does it do to fly off the handle at someone or something and dwell on it? It’s done. Get over it. Move on. Read the rest of this entry
