In order to get where you want to go, you have to know where that destination is.  By creating a “life purpose” you are in a sense laying out the map to your destination. Most people seem to aimlessly drift through life without any real direction.  Once you create your purpose, it should dominate you actions and your directions.  You should write out your purpose and read it once a day to keep you honest.  It’s like a business posting its mission statement on their wall.  It’s there for everyone to see and to be reminded that THIS is how we run our business.  When you read your mission statement or your purpose on a daily basis you will be reminding your subconscious mind that THIS is the way I run my LIFE. Once your subconscious is aware of the way you intend to run your life, your actions and beliefs will follow suit.   A person without a definite purpose tends to not focus on any one thing.  They tend to dabble in many different things and never really perfect any of them.  When you have a purpose, you can focus on that purpose like a laser beam and you can realize that purpose MUCH easier and faster! Once you have your major purpose, you have clear direction and the task of setting your goals becomes much more aligned to achieving that purpose. Read the rest of this entry
