For me it was the freedom to do what I want, when I want. I love the idea of being my own boss and being in control of my own destiny. When I was a kid, my best friends lived in the biggest, nicest houses I had ever seen. They had a full sized basketball court in the basement of their house. They had a pool, a hot tub, and all the cool toys like motorcycles, snowmobiles, boats, and 4-wheelers. Even at a young age, it didn’t take me long to figure out that making good money could get some pretty cool things! Now I know there is the old saying that says “money can’t buy you happiness”, and I’m here to tell you that it is a true statement. Read the rest of this entry

One of the keys to success is to always go the extra mile. Get into the habit of exceeding expectations. If you are a business owner, this should be one of the main values that your company strives to achieve. If you consistently go above and beyond for your customers, and give them something that they did not expect, they will share it with others, guaranteed. Read the rest of this entry

When a tough situation arises, we have a choice to make. We can let it bother us, or get us down, or piss us off. Or we can to take a deep breath and let it slide. If you let someone else control your emotions and how you feel, you are letting someone else drive your bus. Once something happens, it’s done. There is nothing you can do about it. The key is to not let it ruin your day. What good does it do to fly off the handle at someone or something and dwell on it? It’s done. Get over it. Move on. Read the rest of this entry
